The problem with mops
One of the biggest problems with mops is that they have to be put away after using. And they're
always wet. Some mop designs offer a detachable and machine washable mop head.
The vast majority of sponge and string mops get put away wet.
People have been left on their own by manufacturers on this issue. Most people deal with
the problem with varying degrees of tolerance and ingenuity. Some folks throw the wet
mop into a closet and never look back until next use. Others prop it up in some way so the
wet part doesn’t touch walls or floor. Still others rig up elaborate hanging situations with pans
and waterproof containers to catch drips.
To make a messy situation even worse mold and mildew can happen. It is almost a
certainty where walls or floors are allowed to stay wet.
The Mop ‘N Dry™ solution
Without trying to reinvent the wheel or the mop, an elegant solution has emerged.
